The Farmer and Grazier Conflicts escalated into chaos leaving two deaths. It all started on the 24/06/2025 at about 2:30 pm in Yagoua around the bridge leading to the boarder with Chad.
A young Mbororo grazier was grazing his cattle near some farms and one of his cows entered into a farm. A lady, the farm owner came chasing the cow with a matchet. She fell on the young grazier, injured him twice with the machete and continued beating him. She pulled the young boy to the ground and held him thoroughly beaten. In the struggle to strangle him, the boy pulled out his knife and injured her on the chest. She yelled for support from the nearby villagers.
The boy was almost lynch through mob justice.
The lady gave out the ghost on the way to the hospital in Yagoua, meanwhile the young boy was taken to the Lawan (a traditional leader). The Lawan ordered his people to rush him to the hospital where he is currently responding to treatment, though in a critical situation because he is still unconscious.
Immediately the lady died, everything exploded as the water boiled to its climax, the villagers invaded all the graziers around the area, they embarked on maiming and looting cows, sheep, goats etc. All the graziers around the area have to run away for their dear lives leaving behind their animals.

Adamou Alhaji Bawchi
The news on the invasion of graziers in the area went viral and cattle owners became skeptical as fear of looting loomed the air. Many cattle owners started moving towards the area on motorbikes. One or them, Adamou Alhaji Bawchi from Ouro Kessoum at Yagoua and his two brothers hired a motorbike and moved towards their cattle. Unfortunately, they fell into the drag net of the villagers, his brothers and the bike rider managed to escape but Adamou was lynched by the angry mob of the villagers. He died and left behind a wife and 12 children under his canopy ( title image).
The exact number of animals maimed and looted is not known. Many of the cattle have been taken to Chad as some were caught on the 26/06/2025 by the Chadian forces of Law and Order in Bangor – Chad.
A reaction from the Administrative Authorities from the area is still awaited.
